Journal Entry 8 – A look at Parables

Using your eduBlog Page, under the CST/IST section and answer the following questions.

1.) Read the following parables and identify the inspiring quality that Jesus is trying to teach us.

The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant

The Parable of the Persistent Widow
The Parable of the Rich Young Man

2.) Provide an example of real life situation or person who has demonstrated any of the qualities you have listed.

In the parable the unmerciful servant the inspiring qualitiy Jesus is trying to teach us is forgiveness and do onto others what you want to be done onto you. In this parable Jesus says the master forgiveness the servant and is trying to tell Peter that forgiveness’s is important because if you do not forgive others God Will not forgive you.In the parable the persistent widow the inspiring qualitiy Jesus is trying to teach us is to never give up and be persistent, as the widow in the parable did. She never gave up and she ended up getting her way. Jesus is teaching us that if you feel strongly about something then put all your effort into it and if you do that you will feel just and accomplish what you set out to do.In the parable the rich young man the inspiring qualitiy Jesus is trying to teach us is to follow the commandments and serve him, no matter if you are rich or poor he will except all and if you do this you will have your place in heaven. Jesus also said that it is almost impossible for a rich man to get into heaven, i think this is a metaphor referring to that if you are greedy you will not have a place in heaven and he will help people in need ans so he will help the poor as they are in need as the rich do not need help. There are many people in this world you  have demonstrated the qualities stated above for example priests demonstrate these qualities all the time as they do the work of Jesus. Brothers and Nuns also demonstrate the qualities as they have devoted there life to Jesus. Also some teachers at school have showed some of those qualities as they encourage us never to give up.Journal Entry 9 – Effective Presentations
